Day 2- early morning

This morning I wanted to get up early so I had time in the afternoon to spend at the riverside house in Windsor. So I was in the water at 8am for a 25min swim. the swim wasn't too hard, but I also wasn't going easy. right after the swim I put my bike stuff on and was on the road for 116.4km bike ride. it was a hard effort. I rode good till about 95-100k when my legs really started to feel it. I was still riding fast (I think?) lol It's a very hard bike ride to do on your own. I had Michael Jackson to keep me company most of the ride. I had a mix of his music in my I-Pod. My final time was 3:15.25. So I'm guessing that is around 35km/h avg. I did a 2 loop course. the wind was at my back going out and right in my face coming back. Now I'm just sitting down for lunch with John and then heading over to riverside house. tomorrow is a pool swim in the morning, then a 20km run and a 90min easy spin on the bike. And at night I'm going to see the Tigers play in Detroit.

I will be doing a 1/2 ironman this Saturday from the cottage. The bike will be a tempo ride. I'm hoping to ride around 2:30-2:40 for the 90k bike. e-mail if you want to come. dsharratt@rogers.com. I'm not sure my start time yet, but if you e-mail me I will let you know.
