Waterloo Duathlon

Only my 2nd race of the season and I got a WIN!!!!! It was a shock to me. I just wanted to have a good bike and 2nd run and it worked. The 1st run the main group went out hard and I kinda held back. I went into the bike in 9th place. Not to far back, only like 60" from the leader and 20" from the case pack. I caught them really quick and was on hot pursuit of Connor Hammond. Me and Mike Hay got Connor at 10k and pushed the pace. Just before 15k I knew the hills were coming and I was going up them faster then Mike. So I made my move and broke away. I ended up having about a 20sec lead going into the run and I knew he wasn't going to catch me. Not unless some really bad happened. That was my 1st Duathlon win ever.
