Merry Christmas

Well, it's almost here. just over 15 hours I think. I love Christmas time. When I was young I would be the 1st one up at 5:00am and wake everyone up. But my parents would never let us go downstairs till 7:00. And when your excited, 2hours seems like 5. I'm better now and won't wake up till 8:00. My sister is always the 1st one up. And for the passed 3 years, The Sharratt and DelMonte family go on our 7k run at 10:00. Really easy and all fun. This will be the 1st time there is no snow on the ground for the run.

So lets get back to training. Friday was just and easy day in which I swam 2900m. It was a mix of IM and free. Nothing too hard. But Saturday was another story. Me, Mikey DelMonte and James Loaring headed out for a hilly 16k tempo run. This course is all hill. We went though 8k in 29:30 I think and since James is just getting back into it, he stopped. And Me and Mikey just kept getting faster as we went on. Mikey was making the pace and I was trying to stay with him. We finished the 16k together in a time of 57:44. That's a avg. pace of 3:36. So after a 2 hour recovery I headed out for a 3 hour MTB ride with James. Nothing hard, just getting used to sitting on a seat. James rode for 2:10 and I added on another 45 min. Then this morning I got up and did my long run of 2hours. I'm guessing I made it 28k, but I'm not for sure. I will be running again tonight as well. The it's time to relax and enjoy Christmas.

Happy Holidays everyone ;)
Dave

Hey, weren't you supposed to do an interval workout with Megan on Saturday morning? What did you ditch here or something? Hope the girl didnt have to do it herself on saturday night, in the dark with some random car driving behind her!

Keep up the good work Lance.
