I Hit the Wall!!!

I bonked for the 1st time this year on Saturday. And it's one of the worst feelings EVER. So lets back up to Thursday. I wasn't feeling 100% so I just swam with the Waterloo team. Then I headed up to Caledon for a golf fundraiser. Friday I worked out with James and the PTC Team. We did 3x(6k bike/ 1 mile run) with 5min recovery. Overall it was a hard day of training. Saturday Morning I got up early and headed over to Caledon for a open water swim. The water was freezing. But I had a good swim with Sean and Andrew. Then it was onto the bike where Barrie wanted us to bike 3 hours and then run 60' off the bike. So about 60-70' into the bike my chain came off and got caught in the frame. It was stuck enough that I had to get off my bike and get it out. It took me about 90" and by that point the whole group left me behind. But I really wanted to catch them again, so I tried to time trial up to them. It took me about 60min of going very hard and I almost caught them, when we hit a HUGE hill. At this point my legs were dead and they just kept pulling away. By the time I hit the top of the hill I couldn't see them anymore and I just gave up and fell off my bike and laid there. I tried to get back on my bike and cycle to my car which was still 45min away. But I made it about 2min when I had to get off again. Lucky for me some very nice man picked me up and drove me to my car. I wasn't to happy with my team for leaving me behind like that. Maybe next time they will wait up for me? On the way home I was still feeling kinda dizzy and had to pull over for a few minutes to wake myself up. When I finally got home, I had a well deserved nap. Sunday I thought I would give another shot at biking and running with the PTC. I didn't get dropped this time. YES!!!!!!!! We did a 90km bike with a 40min run after. It would of been a 70k ride if it wasn't for Steve's messed up route. James wasn't pleased. Now I'm just relaxing in Waterloo getting ready for bed. I have one more hard week before my taper for Montreal ITU. I'm getting excited:)
