Nationals

I was feeling good going into this race. The race started with me having a good swim and coming out in the chase pack. There was just one problem. I couldn't see out of my right eye. I put hair soap in my goggles so they wouldn't fog during the swim, but water go in them. I was starting to get scared about 1/2 through the bike because the foggy eye wasn't getting any better. It was starting to hurt with the sweat. Once out on the run all I could think about was my eye and how I mite not be able to see ever again. After the race the doctors looked at it and all they said was I need to rest the eye and let it self heal. it took 3 days before I could open it with out it hurting. So anyone reading this, DON'T PUT SOAP IN YOUR GOGGLES". I'm going to start training next week. I took this week right off. Not sure when my next race is, but once I find out I will let everyone know.

dude..

Good seeing you on Saturday!

As for your soap problem: Did you use baby shampoo? I put baby shampoo in my snorkelling mask and sometimes in my goggles and it works brilliantly and it doesn't hurt when it gets in your eyes! try it next time dude...maybe in training....not during a race!

You're the man Dave!
